This Privacy Policy explains how Cric Journey ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Cric Journey website and the Cric Journey Scorer mobile app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and a user ID, provided when you sign up with email/password or sign in with Google.
- Content you create — cricket matches, scorecards, ball-by-ball data, team/player details, and related content you enter while scoring.
- YouTube connection — if you choose to live-stream, you connect your YouTube account via Google OAuth. We store the authorization tokens and your channel name/email solely to create and manage broadcasts on your behalf.
- Camera & microphone — used only while you are live-streaming. The video/audio is sent directly from your device to YouTube; we do not receive or store it.
- Technical data — basic log and device information needed to operate and secure the Service (e.g., app version, error information).
We do not collect precise location, contacts, health, or financial data.
2. How we use your information
- To provide core app functionality (scoring, scorecards, live streaming).
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Sharing and disclosure
- YouTube / Google — when you live-stream, content and broadcast metadata are shared with YouTube at your direction, subject to Google's Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Service providers — we use trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting and database) to run the Service; they process data only on our behalf.
- Public content — match data you publish may be visible on public scorecards/share links.
- Legal — we may disclose information if required by law.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — see cricjourney.com/delete-account. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
5. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your choices
You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from the app, update your profile, or request account deletion. To fully revoke the app's access to your Google/YouTube account, visit myaccount.google.com.
8. Changes to this policy
